Spring magic always comes on wings of song Plucked from the heart-strings of an April day, When flower-jewels, laid away so long, Adorn the earth once more, and green leaves sway To rhythm of bird-serenades that rise In silvery ripples, filling all the land With melodies of love. Our eager eyes Behold Daffodil April's lovely hand Join sun and rain in games of hide-and-seek, Or clasp a dewdrop necklace on the lawn. Wind-voices hum a lullaby, then speak Such gay commands that soon the hats are gone Pirouetting down the street, and people race And chase, while April smiles and sets the pace. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...BLUE-BUTTERFLY DAY by ROBERT FROST LILIES: 13.
