IN TUSCANY: MINOR NOTES; TWELVE RISPETTI: 2 by CORA RANDALL FABBRI

First Line: I AM A FADED LEAF, AND YOU A FLOWER
Last Line: WHO WILL BE SAD, OR MISS A FADED LEAF?

I am a faded leaf, and you a flower,
A fresh young flower, set in a nest of green.
The Spring is here, and she has made a bower
Of buds and leaves, with birds that sing between.
I am a faded leaf, a foolish thing
To live on still in all this joyous Spring;
And when I fall, whose days have been so brief,
Who will be sad, or miss a faded leaf?
