IN TUSCANY: MINOR NOTES; TWELVE RISPETTI: 3 by CORA RANDALL FABBRI

First Line: IF I COULD CHOOSE A GIFT FOR THEE, DEAR HEART
Last Line: WHEN IT IS PLUCKED FROM OUT THE HEART OF SPRING.

If I could choose a gift for thee, dear Heart,
I should not choose the fairest things there are
In gems or gold, but I should choose, dear Heart,
A Tuscan day to send to thee afar.
A Tuscan day which is a thing so sweet
That it would teach thy English heart to beat;
A Tuscan day which is so sweet a thing
When it is plucked from out the heart of Spring.
