THISTLEDOWN: 2 by CORA RANDALL FABBRI

First Line: TO LEAN O'ER THE WATER'S EDGE WHERE THE TALL REEDS LEAN
Last Line: SWEET!

To lean o'er the water's edge where the tall reeds lean
With the stars between
In the water's sheen
Twice seen.

To stand knee-deep in the clover with mild-eyed cows
Who dream and browse
Where the small birds drowse
On the boughs.

To lie and to dream and forget in the golden wheat,
Where the poppies meet
And the breezes greet. ...
This is sweet,
Sweet!
