HEARTS by VASILI (VASILY) FYODOROV

First Line: WE KNOW-
Last Line: WHICH WE HAVE NOT THE RIGHT TO YIELD.

We know --
we've gone through thick and thin --
That now, when ideas rule the day,
Each heart which we neglect to win
Our foes will seize without delay,
To shape old scores to new conditions,
New blows
With force renewed to wield . . .
Men's hearts!
They are those key positions
Which we have not the right to yield.
