APRIL, FR. JOY O' LIFE by THEODOSIA (PICKERING) GARRISON

First Line: SOMETHING TAPPED AT MY WINDOW-PANE
Last Line: AND HERE WAS APRIL COME BACK AGAIN.
Subject(s): APRIL; NATURE;

Something tapped at my window-pane,
Someone called me without my door,
Someone laughed like the tinkle o' rain,
The robin echoed it o'er and o'er.

I threw the door and the window wide;
Sun and the touch of the breeze and then --
"Oh, @3were@1 you expecting me, dear?" she cried,
And here was April come back again.
