PRAYER by PETER GETHING

First Line: I DO NOT ASK A TRUCE
Last Line: TO FIGHT TOMORROW!
Subject(s): PRAYER;

I do not ask a truce
With life's incessant pain;
But school my lips, O Lord,
Not to complain.

I do not ask for peace
From life's eternal sorrow;
But give me courage, Lord,
To fight tomorrow!
