DREAM-SONG SEA-SONG by EUNICE W. GILKEY

First Line: TAKE ME / BEAR ME GENTLY - LIGHTLY
Last Line: WAVES OF SEA.
Subject(s): DREAMS; SEA; SINGING & SINGERS; NIGHTMARES; OCEAN; SONGS;

Take me --
Bear me gently -- lightly
Winds of heaven
Waves of sea.

Scrub me clean against shore pebbles;
Warm me --
Dry me on a sand dune
Ripple
Sliding silver grain
Slip me to the starlight's glimmer.
Gleam,
Greenish, oily gold;
And you will hear me in my dreaming
Sing a sea-song or a dream-song.

Take me --
Bear me gently -- lightly
Winds of heaven
Waves of sea.
