THE POEMS OF COLD MOUNTAIN: 110 by HAN SHAN

First Line: SOME PEOPLE FLAUNT THEIR PRACTICE
Last Line: A PITY TO BE SO DUMB
Subject(s): CHINESE LITERATURE; CONFUCIUS & CONFUCIANISM; IGNORANCE; DULLNESS; STUPDITY;

Some people flaunt their practice
their talents surpass Confucius and Chou
look at their eyes in a trance
see their bodies all stiff
pull them with a rope in vain
stick them with an awl to no avail
just like Lord Yang's crane
a pity to be so dumb
