THE POEMS OF COLD MOUNTAIN: 289 by HAN SHAN

First Line: AN ORIOLE ON A FLOWERING BRANCH
Last Line: AND TEARS FALL IN THE WIND OF SPRING
Subject(s): CHINESE LITERATURE; ORIOLES;

An oriole on a flowering branch
@3kuan-kuan@1 its sound enchants
a beauty with cheeks of jade
answers with singing strings
she never grows tired of playing
such love is for the milk-teeth years
but flowers fly and the bird takes wing
and tears fall in the wind of spring
