MIRAGE by MABEL A. HANSON

First Line: ACROSS THE SPACES WILD AND FREE
Last Line: AND SEE THE LOVE-LIGHT IN YOUR FACE.
Subject(s): HEARTS; LOVE; MIRAGES;

Across the spaces wild and free,
A heart responds to me.
And over the treetops, over the hills,
And down the valleys, from the sky,
With echo-love which cannot die
A joy comes back to me.

Through woods, in mountains, flowers fair,
I find your love and service rare,
Which shows me beauty, faith and joy.

Oh, yes—I know down halls of life
Not only joys but pains and strife
Come on and on, yet go again,
While bliss does meet me when I fain
Would look in dreams across the space
And see the love-light in your face.
