EPITAPH ON SIR EDWARD SACKVILLE'S CHILD WHO DIED IN HIS BIRTH by EDWARD HERBERT

First Line: READER, HERE LIES A CHILD THAT NEVER CRI'D
Last Line: NOTHING THAT EVER DI'D HATH LIV'D SO LONG.
Subject(s): EPITAPHS; STILLBIRTH; DEATH - CHILDBIRTH;

READER, here lies a child that never cri'd,
And therefore never di'd;
'Twas neither old nor young,
Born to this and the other world in one:
Let us then cease to moan,
Nothing that ever di'd hath liv'd so long.
