HOPE WELL AND HAVDE WELL: OR, FAIRE AFTER FOULE WEATHER by ROBERT HERRICK

Poet Analysis

First Line: WHAT THOUGH THE HEAVEN BE LOWRING NOW
Last Line: THEN WILL APPEARE A CHEERFULL HEAVEN.

What though the Heaven be lowring now,
And look with a contracted brow?
We shall discover, by and by,
A Repurgation of the Skie:
And when those clouds away are driven,
Then will appeare a cheerfull Heaven.
