THE BUBBLE by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON

Poet Analysis

First Line: I CATCH THE BUBBLE OF LIFE'S JOY
Last Line: A FALLACY IMPASSIONED.

I catch the bubble of life's joy
Within my eager fingers
A fragile, fairy meteor
That never, never lingers.

A golden globe of glancing gleam
That breaks ere fully fashioned
Which leaves the splashing of a tear,
A fallacy impassioned.
