SQUIRREL by ALFRED FRANCIS KREYMBORG

First Line: IS THE DIFFERENCE / BETWEEN THE CREATURE
Last Line: WITHOUT A DOOR.
Subject(s): CAGES; SQUIRRELS;

Is the difference
between the creature
who wants all men,
and the lady
who wants one man
to be all,
sufficient to warrant
the slant-eyed term
applied to the former,
and the distinctive
conferred on the latter?
is the conundrum
put by his chatter
running round the cage
without a door.
