CASTELLO by AGNES MARY F. ROBINSON

First Line: THE TRITON IN THE ILEX-WOOD
Last Line: THE GARDENS OF CASTELLO!
Subject(s): GARDENS & GARDENING; ITALY; ITALIANS;

THE Triton in the Ilex-wood
Is lonely at Castello.
The snow is on him like a hood,
The fountain-reeds are yellow.

But never Triton sorrowed yet
For weather chill or mellow:
He mourns, my Dear, that you forget
The gardens of Castello!
