TORRENTS by AGNES MARY F. ROBINSON

First Line: I KNOW THAT IF OUR LIVES COULD MEET
Last Line: RAN DRY SO LONG AGO!

I KNOW that if our lives could meet
Like torrents in a sudden tide,
Our souls should send their shining sheet
Of waters far and wide.

But, ah! my dear, the springs of mine
Have never yet begun to flow --
And yours, that were so full and fine,
Ran dry so long ago!
