BROOKLYN BRIDGE by CLINTON SCOLLARD

First Line: I DREAM THE TITANS CAME BY NIGHT
Last Line: THIS SUPER-HUMAN THING?
Subject(s): BRIDGES; BROOKLYN BRIDGE;

I DREAM the Titans came by night
And stretched this most majestic span;
Surely such symmetry, such height,
Such girder-grip, such cable-might,
Were never joined by man!

Or was it out of nothing brought
By some Aladdin's lamp or ring?
Or through some stainless magic wrought,
This masterly-embodied thought,
This super-human thing?
