First Line: IF MAN MIGHT KNOW / THE ILL HE MUST UNDERGO

IF man might know
The ill he must undergo,
And shun it so,
Then it were good to know:
But if he undergo it,
Though he know it,
What boots him know it?
He must undergo it.
