ATTAR OF ROSES by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: THE WAFTURE OF A THOUSAND FLOWERS IS HERE
Last Line: THE UNEXTINGUISHED FLAME.
Subject(s): FLOWERS; ROSES;

The wafture of a thousand flowers is here
Concentrated from afar,
As gleams of many a steadfast sister sphere
Upon a wandering star.

And every breath in sweet remembrance bears
The blossom whence it came,
As radiance, or genial warmth, declares
The unextinguished flame.
