IN THE DEATH CHAMBER by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: STILL UPON THE VACANT WALL
Last Line: WITH OUR MIDNIGHT REVERIES?
Subject(s): DEATH; DEAD, THE;

Still upon the vacant wall
Doth the silver phantom fall,
Like a glory in the gloom
Of the long-deserted room.

Soul departed, can it be
Thou, death-laurelled majesty,
Mingling, in the moon's disguise,
With our midnight reveries?
