LIVERY by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: OLD-FASHIONED RAIMENT SUITS THE TREE
Last Line: HIS ANCESTORS HAVE WORN.
Subject(s): TREES;

Old-fashioned raiment suits the tree:
Though flouting winds are fain
To strip the foliage, presently
He patterns it again;
Fastidious of chivalry,
Rejecting as in scorn
All other than the panoply
His ancestors have worn.
