LONELINESS (2) by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: DEAD IN THE DESERT! WITH THE GREAT WHITE MOON
Last Line: ESCAPED THE STRUGGLES OF A NERVELESS HAND.
Subject(s): SOLITUDE; LONELINESS;

Dead in the desert! with the great white moon
Above him and around him wastes of sand,
The seed of endless centuries, so soon
Escaped the struggles of a nerveless hand.
