MY OFFERING by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: HE ASKED ME BREAD, THE BREAD WHEREBY ALONE
Last Line: "A SERPENT, SEE!"
Subject(s): RELIGION; THEOLOGY;

He asked me bread, the bread whereby alone
The beggar Love could live;
I gave a @3stone@1.
He asked me fish, and I, a Passion's slave
(All that I had to give),
A @3serpent@1 gave.
Then came his benediction; "Lo, in Me,
A @3Stone@1 retributive,
A @3Serpent@1, see!"
