ON THE HEIGHTS by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: ON PISGAH EACH MUST STAND
Last Line: THE VICTIM DIES.
Subject(s): CALVARY;
On Pisgah each must stand,
And in a fruitful land
Afar descried,
Behold with longing eyes
Some promised Paradise
Of bliss denied.

And each on Calvary
Upon his cross must be
A sacrifice;
Where, Christ-like, two between --
For Life or Death unseen --
The victim dies.
