SOOTHSAYERS by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: THE WINDS THAT, GYPSY-WISE, FORETOLD
Last Line: NO VESTIGES REMAIN.
Subject(s): WIND;

The winds that, gypsy-wise, foretold
The fortune of today,
At twilight, with the gathered gold
Of sunset, stole away;

And of their cloud accomplices
That prophesied the rain
Upon the night-forsaken skies
No vestiges remain.
