THE YELLOW CROCUS by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: WERE YOU, LITTLE MONARCH, CROWNED
Last Line: BOW THE KNEE.
Subject(s): CROCUSES; PLANTS; PLANTING; PLANTERS;

Were you, little monarch, crowned
Under ground?
Or did the daylight make you king
Of the spring?
Ere your blossom-retinue
Came to you,
I, before your majesty,
Bow the knee.
