A DAY-DREAMER by KATHARINE TYNAN

First Line: SINCE COMING FROM THE LAND OF DREAMS IS LONELY
Last Line: WHEREIN WHO LOVETH DREAMS SHALL HAVE HIS FILL.
Subject(s): DAY; DREAMS; NIGHTMARES;

SINCE coming from the land of dreams is lonely,
And the world's daylight very cold and grey,
I will return beyond the sun's rim only
Into the gold dusk of my yesterday.

I will return through yonder purple coppice,—
But O, thou love-worn nightingale, be still!—
Into a world of silken, scarlet poppies,
Wherein who loveth dreams shall have his fill.
