ACTS by WILLIAM WATSON

Poet Analysis

First Line: WE SHAPE OUR DEEDS AND THEN ARE SHAPEN BY THEM
Last Line: WERE THEY BORN FAIR, HELL CAN DEFILE THEM NOT.
Subject(s): ACTIVITY; EXERCISE;

WE shape our deeds and then are shapen by them:
We are children of the things ourselves begot.
Were they born foul, Heaven cannot purify them;
Were they born fair, Hell can defile them not.
