WEEDS ABOVE THE SNOW by AMOS RUSSEL WELLS

First Line: SWEET IS NATURE'S GARDEN
Last Line: AND ARE COMFORTED.
Subject(s): WEEDS;

Sweet is Nature's garden
When the roses blow;
Ah, but what is fairer
Than weeds above the snow?

Dry and bare and withered,
Yet in every line
Delicately tracing
Fancies dear and fine!

So upon God's pureness
Lives all dry and dead
Are transformed to beauty
And are comforted.
