CORSICAN DROVER by ANONYMOUS

First Line: HOW CHANG'D THE SCENE OF LATE HAS BEEN
Last Line: AND DROVE THEM BACK FROM PARIS
Subject(s): FRANCE;IMMIGRANTS;LONDON; EMIGRANT;EMIGRATION;IMMIGRATION;

How chang'd the scene of late has been,
From France they're bundling over,
And everyone for fear must run,
Like sheep before a drover,
The motley crew exclaim'd Mon Dieu,
At Calais when assembled,
At Boney's name each nervous dame
Stood on the shore and trembled.

London now is come to town
Few are found who tarries
Boney there has made them stare
And drove them back from Paris.
