CYPRIA: FLOWERY GARMENTS by ANONYMOUS

First Line: SHE WRAPPED HER FLESH IN RAIMENT WHICH THE HOURS
Last Line: CLOTHES THAT THE SCENT OF EVERY SEASON BORE
Subject(s): CLOTHING & DRESS;

SHE wrapped her flesh in raiment which the Hours
And Graces made and dipped in springtime flowers,
All that the Hours bring forth. Crocus they bring,
Bluebell and violet brave-blossoming,
Roses with lovely buds and nectarous scent,
Ambrosial petals of the jonquil blent
With lily-cups. So Aphrodite wore
Clothes that the scent of every season bore.
