ENGLISH FOLK LULLABY by ANONYMOUS

First Line: BYE O MY BABY
Last Line: THY MOTHER LAID ON A BEERE

Bye O my baby,
When I was a lady,
O then my poor baby didn't cry;
But my baby is weeping,
For want of good keeping,
Oh, I fear my poor baby will die.

Shee said: Lullabye, mine owne deere child!
Lullabye, deere child, deere!
I wold thy father were a king,
Thy mother layd on a beere!
