HOMERIC EPIGRAM: MIDAS' TOMB by ANONYMOUS

First Line: "ON MIDAS' GRAVE, A MAID OF BRONZE, I LIE"
Last Line: TELL PASSER-BYS THAT THIS MIDAS' TOMB
Subject(s): MIDAS;

ON Midas' grave, a maid of bronze, I lie.
While water flows and while the tall trees bloom,
And sun and radiant moon arise and shine,
And rivers run and ocean breaks in brine,
Abiding on this mournful mound shall I
Tell passers-by that this is Midas' tomb.
