LOVE by ANONYMOUS

First Line: LOVE IN ONE OBJECT ALL THE WORLD DOTH SEE
Last Line: THEN WORSHIPS EVER IN ETERNAL SPRING
Subject(s): LOVE;

LOVE in one object all the world doth see;
Love is a slave, yet proud of slavery;
Love ever longs, and yet no wish doth paint;
Love suffers aye, yet utters no complaint;
Love sacrifices self at every hour;
Love weeps, yet solace finds in tears that pour;
Love doth an idol to his bosom bring,
Then worships ever in eternal Spring.
