I SING OF LOVE, by                 Poet Analysis     Poet's Biography
First Line: I sing of love who have no love
Last Line: To lull my heart to sleep.
Alternate Author Name(s): Tremaine, John
Subject(s): Love

I sing of love who have no love
Just weary wintry days,
I sing of halcyon happiness
Along my arid ways.

I sing of love, and make the songs
From out my ailing heart,
I sing them to myself to hold
My closing world apart.

I sing of love who have no love
For something I must keep
Of beauty, and of loveliness,
To lull my heart to sleep.
