FOUR-LEAF CLOVER, by ELLA (RHOADS) HIGGINSON Poet's Biography First Line: I know a place where the sun is like gold Last Line: Where the four-leaf clovers grow. Subject(s): Four-leaf Clovers | |||
I KNOW a place where the sun is like gold, And the cherry blooms burst with snow, And down underneath is the loveliest nook, Where the four-leaf clovers grow. One leaf is for hope, and one is for faith, And one is for love, you know, And god put another in for luck, -- If you search, you will find where they grow. But you must have hope, and you must have faith, You must love and be strong -- and so, If you work, if you wait, you will find the place Where the four-leaf clovers grow. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...FOUR-LEAFED CLOVER by EFFIE WALLER SMITH THE LUCKY FOUR-LEAVED CLOVER by AMOS RUSSEL WELLS FOUR LEAF CLOVER by GEORGE WASHINGTON WRIGHT HOUGHTON OAKLEAF (SONNET IN A NEW FORM) by MADELINE MASON FOUR LEAF CLOVERS by PHILIP MILLER I FOUND A FOUR-LEAF CLOVER by JACK PRELUTSKY FOUR-LEAF CLOVER by MONICA SHANNON MOONRISE IN THE ROCKIES by ELLA (RHOADS) HIGGINSON BEGGARS by ELLA (RHOADS) HIGGINSON CRADLE SONG OF THE FISHERMAN'S WIFE by ELLA (RHOADS) HIGGINSON |
