They set a light upon the hill
To aid the flier in the night;
'Tis youth who flies across the skies
Guided by this beacon light.
We placed a light upon the hill,
That light is youth with all its beauty;
'Tis courage wins when life is new
And ever filled with sense of duty.
The torch was handed on to one
Who handed on a lantern bright,
And now in place of this there gleams
Upon the hill a beacon light.
