RETURN, by
First Line: March stirs and like a shaggy beast he shakes
Last Line: April: oh earth; let nothing now befall her.
Subject(s): April; March (month); Spring

March stirs and like a shaggy beast he shakes.
The last and brightest rim of winter breaks,
Roofed round him and the clattering ice bits fall.
Far off and faintly, lo a madrigal
Is heard, riding the wind, and faintly drums:
And liquid, louder now a blithe hand strums
Taut gold; and scattering silver fragrance comes,
In terrible simplicity a child;
A girl; a woman; anything that's wild
And fosters wildness. April -- so they call her:
April: Oh earth; let nothing now befall her.
