THE NONSENSE SAW OF A SAW-GIRL I SAW IN ARKANSAW, by
First Line: The rarest girl I ever saw
Last Line: Hurrah, hurrah!, etc.

The rarest girl I ever saw
I saw down south in Arkansaw.
She could saw wood to beat her Maw,
And faster than her Paw could saw.

Hurrah, Hurrah!
For her I saw,
Who could out-saw
Her Paw and Maw.
She-saw, hee-haw!
I sing a saw
Of a maid I saw
In Arkansaw!

I never saw, you never saw,
A girl so saw-cy that could saw
Like the saw-girl that once I saw
Down in the State of Ark-an-saw!

Hurrah, Hurrah!, etc.

She danced the best you ever saw
To tune of Turkey-in-the-Straw,
And this great prize I'd like to draw
To saw for me as wife or squaw.

Hurrah, Hurrah!, etc.

But when I ax'd her Paw and Maw
To let me be their son-in-law,
And let them saw in Arkansaw,
They "sawed me off" by saying "Naw!"

Hurrah, Hurrah!, etc.
