A FRESHET, by
First Line: O hotspur torrent, crested high in air
Last Line: A bastard from a lawful stream full well.

OHOTSPUR torrent, crested high in air,
Why do you cut in twain a traveller's road?
No lucent wave fit for the Nymphs you bear,
Drunk with your drawings from a thunder-cloud;
I'll see you shrivel yet -- the sun can tell
A bastard from a lawful stream full well.
