CHERRY RAIN, by
First Line: No petals fall as silently
Last Line: Within the heart, and not the eye.
Subject(s): Cherry Trees

No petals fall as silently
As white ones from the cherry tree.
On the new grass, they fall as sweet
As words from lips of lovers when they meet,
As silently as the tears that lie
Within the heart, and not the eye.
