DAWN MAGIC, by CHARLOTTE LOUISE BERTLESEN First Line: I stand in the dim, fragrant dawning Last Line: Looks down on the slumbering world. Subject(s): Babies; Birth; Magic; Infants; Child Birth; Midwifery | ||||||||
I stand in the dim, fragrant dawning And gaze o'er the rim of the world, Where in gold and purple and crimson, Dawn's wonderful flag is unfurled. Its radiant beauty is shining O'er the slumbering folk of the earth, As it welcomes, mid shimmering glory, A new, infant day at its birth. Now, swiftly, invisible fingers Its magical colors have furled; And only the herald of morning Looks down on the slumbering world. | Other Poems of Interest...WHY I AM AFRAID OF TURNING THE PAGE by CATE MARVIN ACCIDENTS OF BIRTH by WILLIAM MEREDITH ONE FOR ALL NEWBORNS by THYLIAS MOSS CURRICULUM VITAE by LISEL MUELLER FOUND IN THE CABBAGE PATCH by LISEL MUELLER |
