FEAR hath torment! Hie thee, Fear I am safe, for love is here. Give me courage; I am weak, Darling, till I hear you speak. Do I love you worthily? Look into my eyes and see. Do I love you very well? Ask my heart, and it shall tell. As the tempest rageth by, Cling we closer, you and I. In your arms and on your breast, Though the worlds pass, I am blest. Fear hath torment! Hie thee, Fear! Love's security is here. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE INVENTION OF LOVE by MATTHEA HARVEY TWO VIEWS OF BUSON by ROBERT HASS A LOVE FOR FOUR VOICES: HOMAGE TO FRANZ JOSEPH HAYDN by ANTHONY HECHT AN OFFERING FOR PATRICIA by ANTHONY HECHT LATE AFTERNOON: THE ONSLAUGHT OF LOVE by ANTHONY HECHT A SWEETENING ALL AROUND ME AS IT FALLS by JANE HIRSHFIELD EGOISME A DEUX' by LOUISA SARAH BEVINGTON |
