Subject(s): Mysticism - Judaism

now Samuel was dead all of Israel did the rites for him & buried him in
Ramah his own city & Saul had put away the ones that
spoke with ghosts the shamans he sent them from the country

& the Philistines all came together camped in Shunem Saul & Israel together
in Gilboa

& when Saul saw the army of the Philistines he was afraid his heart was
trembling

when he called to Yahveh Yahveh would not answer not by dreams & not by
oracles & not by seers

then Saul told his servants find me a woman who can speak with ghosts that I
can go to make her sound her shaman bag can speak through her his
servants said well yes there is a woman mistress of the shaman bag at
Endor

& Saul disguised himself he changed his clothes he went & two men went
with him at night they came to where she was Saul said to her show me
divinings sound your bag raise up for me the one I name

the woman said to him well yes you know what Saul has done you know he
banished those who speak with ghosts the shamans yes she said why
must you lay a trap for me cause me to die

Saul swore to her by Yahveh as sure as Yahveh lives no one will punish you
for this thing

then the woman said who should I bring you & he said bring up Samuel

& when the woman saw Samuel she cried her voice was loud she spoke to Saul
she said WHY HAVE YOU TRICKED ME YOU ARE SAUL

he said to her the king don't be afraid what did you see the woman
told him I saw gods ascending from the earth saw elohim

he said to her what form is he she said an old man comes up covered
with a mantle

& Saul perceived that it was Samuel Saul stooped his face was to the ground
he bowed himself
