MORNING STAR, by IDA MAY BORNCAMP First Line: Back of the mountaintops at dawn Last Line: Stirring my soul with its lyric psalm. Subject(s): Crystallization; Physics; Stars | |||
Back of the mountaintops at dawn Through swaying leaves it shimmers and shines; And, flooded with glory of summer morn, Bursts forth from a forest of resinous pines. Tipping the tree-tops sharp and clear, A radiant beacon of crystal light Fills my innermost heart with cheer. An exquisite setting of wonder white, A marvel of beauty, a singing lyre, In tune with warblers that break the calm; Awaking instincts as pure as fire -- Stirring my soul with its lyric psalm. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE EPIC STARS by ROBINSON JEFFERS HYMN TO THE STARS by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS CHRISTMAS TREE by JOHN FREDERICK NIMS CLEMATIS MONTANA by MADELINE DEFREES THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE by JAMES GALVIN TO SEE THE STARS IN DAYLIGHT by JAMES GALVIN PASTELLE IN BLUE by IDA MAY BORNCAMP |
