THE ELDER WOMAN'S SONG: 3, FR. KING LEAR'S WIFE, by                     Poet's Biography
First Line: The queen has gone to bed
Last Line: And nobody knows why.
Subject(s): Insomnia; Sleeplessness

THE Queen has gone to bed
In the middle of the day;
But what about her bedfellow?
No one dares to say.
She cannot sleep at night:
She does not care to try;
The darkness makes her restless,
And nobody knows why.
