MOONRISE IN THE ROCKIES, by ROUTH PICKETT BRADLEY First Line: I've seen the moon rise over vast endless plains Last Line: Against the glamour of the night. Subject(s): Moon; Rocky Mountain Range | ||||||||
I've seen the moon rise over vast endless plains Of desert sand and sage, And over glinting restless waves As they moaned in sullen rage -- I've seen the magic of its spell As it glimmered tenderly above Exotic gardens and fell Upon my heart's romantic love. But moonrise in the Rockies is the best -- Where she sheds her lucent light On those ageless, rugged peaks, pine-crest Against the glamour of the night. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...FOR J.A.
