SYCAMORE GOLDEN starred, lapped in silver brocade, Radiant maiden, you dream; Quietly fall your stars of gold, Waiting your lover, you dream. Veiled in amber autumnal light, Silent, entranced, you dream. EUCALYPTUS Silver leaves of filigree Droop from arched boughs of ivory, On a sky lapis lazuli. WEEPING WILLOW Like strings of a harp, Fine falling spears Play a cadence mute To each breeze that stirs. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...ELEGY; FOR JAMES WRIGHT by GREGORY ORR A LONDON PLANE-TREE by AMY LEVY YOUNG SYCAMORE by WILLIAM CARLOS WILLIAMS AMIR KHAN by LUCRETIA MARIA DAVIDSON SYCAMORE by BENJAMIN FRANKLIN KING SYCAMORES IN BLOOM by WILLIAM SHARP |
