FOG, by INA LADD BROWN First Line: Only a dim light gleaming here and there Last Line: As though god, too, were lost from sight Subject(s): Fog; Ghosts; Mist; Supernatural; Haze | |||
Only a dim light gleaming here and there Through mist that shrouds each spire and tree, And in the way before me, ghostly pale, A wall through which I cannot see. Housetops held in a stifling gray embrace -- A clutching hold that fills the night; A weirdness falling on my very soul, As though God, too, were lost from sight | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...BOATS IN A FOG by ROBINSON JEFFERS BOATS IN A FOG by ROBINSON JEFFERS BELLEVUE EXCHANGE by NORMAN DUBIE THE SEA FOG by JOSEPHINE JACOBSEN |
